Continuously ranked as one of best places to live in the nation, Madison truly has something for everyone. We here at Big Rooster have come to enjoy one of the most extensive bike trail systems in the nation, free Concerts on the Square, Crazy Legs, The Wisconsin Ironman, The Dane County Farmers Market, Rhythm and Booms, Kites on Ice, many Big Ten sporting events, Music Festivals, The Art Fair on the Square as well as a whole host of other fun and unique Madison events.

Officially becoming a city in 1856, Madison has grown and matured into one of the most beautiful and culturally diverse cities in the US. Although the variety of entertainment in Madison is unmistakable, its true allure is its culture.

In 1996, Money magazine identified Madison as "The Best Place to Live in the United States" and the city has consistently ranked near the top of the best-places list in subsequent years. In 2004, Sports Illustrated on Campus named Madison the "Number One College Sports Town in the Nation" and that same year Mens Journal also named Madison the "Healthiest City in America." In 2007, Madison ranked second in the nation of "Top Places in Overall Education" by Forbes Magazine. With its lush green spaces, a world class University and its affordable cost of living, it is easy to see why Big Rooster decided to call Madison home.
